What's the BEST Parenting Hormone?

by Natasha | Apr 4, 2014 | Blog, Parent World | 0 comments

It makes you feel good.

It makes you feel like connecting to others.

It brings on the nurturing.

Men and women have it.

It is produced in similar quantities within the hypothalamo-pituitary magnocellular system in both men and women.

Sometimes its receptor genes are off so it doesn’t help bonding so much.

It is so ancient that a precursor of it can be traced back at least 400 million years to fish.

Those in the know suggest that you raise its levels by:

Listening not just with your ears, but with your eyes in direct contact,

pet a dog,

give hugs,

 metta meditate (focus on another),

soak in a tub,

touch other living beings,

and believe it or not, use social media (provided it is still in the realm of a pleasurable activity).

SO WHAT IS IT?!

nicotyxo

(gotcha, that’s it spelled backwards)
